Finance Assistant - London

Join Our Client as a Finance Assistant!

Location: Aldgate, London (Hybrid - 2 days in the office)

Hours: 9-6 (some flex)

Salary: £32-35k

Contract: FTC 6-12 months - will the view to go permanent

Are you ready to make a difference in the finance world? Our client, a leading organisation in the alternative investment industry, is on the lookout for a talented Finance Assistant to join their dynamic team.

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team and contributing to the organisation's growth. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with month-end closure processes.
Preparing monthly management flash reports and quarterly board packs.
Handling customer invoicing and leading debtor recovery efforts.
Processing supplier payments and supporting procurement processes.
Preparing regulatory reports and regular updates for the parent company.
Engaging in forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis to identify savings opportunities.
Managing payroll and expenses using Pento and Pleo.
Driving process improvements and collaborating across teams.

We're looking for someone with:

Previous experience in a similar role.
A solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping and financial statements.
Knowledge of common accounting practises and payroll processes.
Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software (Xero preferred).
Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and professionalism.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle confidential data.
Experience in cross-collaboration with various teams.
